So I'm now married. That means that images copyrighted with MaryAnn Bubna are just as legitimate as MaryAnn Wright. No, I won't be updating them. My husband is the handsome guy featured at the top of my journals (we both like Mountain Dew). The wedding went great, I'll post pictures when I have the chance.

If anyone is curious, Bubna is a Czech name. The guy who updated my DMV papers informed us that it translates to the suit of diamonds on playing cards (he was Czech and awesome. Yes, I've finally had a good experience at the DMV, we've had a miracle).

I quit my job at Kohl's! I don't regret it at all! I loved my coworkers, but the job was lacking in pretty much everything else, and retail just plain sucks. Two years is long enough. Now I'm working for my college in the library and it's awesome. I'm still learning the ropes, but I already love this job. I get paid about the same, but get more hours, and they're the same hours every single week.

This new job is all thanks to God, my husband, and his amazing boss. She's the interim manager of the library and has changed a lot over there. She increased the hours so she needed another employee to help run the desk, but my husband had made mention of me wanting to change jobs so she pulled some strings. Needless to say, it's awesome. They opened up this new position and gave it to me right off the bat pretty much, so it's been a real blessing. The fact that I got a new job in this economy says a lot, and then there's the added bonus of having no real interview or job application. I've yet to ever have a normal interview since Kohl's hired me in a group interview, and the interview was a cinch to get (job fair).

We went to Maui for nine nights for our honeymoon, and stayed in Kihei for all of those. It was awesome. Great sites, great time. Had a blast taking pictures. Got a bit of a burn, but it didn't hurt much or long. It was also my first time snorkeling, and I had a blast. When I finally figured out how to purge my snorkel, I started having even more fun (I love diving and water in general). I think someday I'm going to become a certified diver... you know, some day when I'm rich and have too much time to kill (probably forty years from now). Either way, I love water.

Photos will gradually be showing up on here. I probably won't get to work on them much again until this weekend, and it'll likely become a weekend only project for me.



Unfortunately for you, this journal is all about me this time. No time to do any features or highlights. Maybe next time (big maybe).
