. And it was raining while I walked there 
It took me maybe a minute or two to get my camera out and lenses swapped, and then I took pictures for a few minutes. About a minute after I put my camera away, I have a security guard walk up to me. He tried to act like he was just heading my way, but he knew I was taking pictures. Funny how quickly people respond to photographers.
It somehow feels off-center, but it isn't... as far as I could tell, at least.

Ah man, I feel for ya. Security guards are a pain in the arse, sometimes. I hate getting stares like I am a sicko when I take public photos. I once was taking photos at a Price Club/Costco of people buying healthy foods (after asking them politely if they'd be part of my project, of course). Within 10 seconds of my first taken photo, this big man swoops down on me and literally says, "I either take your camera, or you leave." He could have at least said, "Sorry, you can't take pictures here"...but I guess he was on a power trip that day.
